Superba Great Karoo Game Farm

Spanning an astonishing 15 000 hectares of prime Great Karoo landscape characterized by vast open spaces typical of the Karoo landscape, offering complete solitude, privacy and an exceptional opportunity to own a private wildlife sanctuary.

Accessed from a gravel road running west off the N12, or the same gravel road leading east from Prince Albert to the N12, the farm is approximately 40km’s from town and fully game fenced with an extensive network of well-maintained gravel roads.

The reserve is entirely off the grid, with solar installations and a back up generator. All accommodation units and the numerous water holes across all three properties are fed by 12 solar powered boreholes and 14 windmill boreholes.
Guest accommodation is provided for in four dwellings comprising of 3 x two bedroom en-suite units and 1x three bedroom en-suite unit attached to the main lodge building with open plan living and entertainment area with built in braai/fireplace, a fully fitted open plan kitchen with walk in cold room. Fixtures and fittings and furnishings in all of the accommodation units are of the highest caliber.

At a separate location in the reserve there is a basic accommodation unit which dates back to the 1800’s. This unit can accommodate up to 16 people in dormitory style units and shared bathrooms.

For management there is a three bedroom family home with principal en-suite bedroom, a family bathroom with separate guest toilet, formal living and dining rooms, and a large open plan fully fitted kitchen with informal dining area. All of these units were fully renovated in 2017. There is an enormous Karoo dam swimming pool with shaded patio area on the banks of the river.

The topography of the farm in the southern central areas is primarily typical Karoo plains and undulating hills and valleys. The northern parts of the farm are more rugged with deep ravines and rocky escarpments. Game includes Springbok, Kudu, Eland, Gemsbok, Zebra , Duiker, Steenbok and Klipbok. Farm infrastructure includes butchery, cold room, three sheds, 5x two bedroom staff houses with solar and gas installations including fridges and stoves.

Sold lock, stock and barrel as a going concern the price includes all movable assets including furnishings, linen, crockery, appliances, game viewing vehicles and farm equipment. A detailed inventory is available on request.
