Pollença sits at the northern tip of Mallorca, framed by the Serra de Tramuntana mountains and the Bay of Pollença, in a part of the island that has long attracted artists, writers, and discerning international buyers. The old town retains its medieval street pattern, with a weekly Sunday market on the Plaça Major that has operated for centuries. The 365-step Calvari staircase, lined with cypress trees, defines the town’s skyline and its unhurried, deeply rooted character.

Daily life centres on the Plaça Major and the surrounding lanes. Celler La Parra and Il Giardino are established dining options in the old town. The Port de Pollença marina is a ten-minute drive, offering sailing, waterfront restaurants, and a long pedestrian promenade. Cala Sant Vicenç, one of the north’s most sheltered beach coves, is roughly five minutes by car.

Palma de Mallorca is approximately 55 kilometres south, reachable in under an hour by car via the Ma-13 motorway. Palma Airport handles direct flights to most major European cities year-round, with journey time from Pollença of around 50 minutes by road. There is no rail connection to the north of the island, so a car is essential. The Serra de Tramuntana, a UNESCO World Heritage landscape, begins immediately west of the town.
