Pollença sits at the northern tip of Mallorca, framed by the Serra de Tramuntana mountains to the west and the calm waters of the Bay of Pollença to the east. The town retains a genuinely Mallorcan character: a medieval street grid, a weekly Sunday market on the Plaça Major that has run for centuries, and an architectural fabric of stone townhouses and convents that has resisted the overdevelopment found elsewhere on the island. It is consistently regarded as one of the most culturally and scenically significant towns in the Balearics.

Daily life centres on the Plaça Major and the surrounding lanes, where Café Espanyol and La Font serve as reliable local anchors. The Port de Pollença waterfront is a ten-minute drive and offers a full range of restaurants and a calm, family-oriented beach. The Pollença Golf course is immediately accessible from the rural outskirts of town.

Palma de Mallorca is approximately 55 kilometres south via the Ma-13 motorway, a journey of around 45 to 50 minutes by car. Palma Airport handles direct flights to most major European cities year-round, with significantly expanded routes from March through October. There is no rail connection to Pollença, making a car essential. The nearby Port de Pollença also receives seasonal ferry connections linking to other Balearic islands.
