This is a home for families, professionals, and international buyers who seek more than a second residence. A sanctuary where sport, wellness, nature, and modern comfort come together — where winter weekends begin with direct trail access, and summers unfold across open mountain plateaus and world-class cycling terrain.

The villa sits at approximately 800 metres elevation on a plateau renowned for Norway’s most reliable winter climate. Consistent natural snow, stable temperatures ensuring excellent preservation, and extensive snowmaking at Mosetertoppen deliver one of the longest and most predictable winter seasons in Northern Europe.

A beautifully appointed mountain residence offering eight bedrooms, five bathrooms, and five living areas, finished to an exceptional standard throughout.

Situated in Area 9 at Mosetertoppen, this generously proportioned residence combines luxury with practicality across three floors. Eight bedrooms include two master suites with en-suite bathrooms; all feature built-in wardrobes, with several incorporating bespoke beds crafted by a local furniture maker. The layout accommodates large family gatherings with ease, yet remains intimate for smaller parties.

The kitchen and living room form the heart of the home — a natural gathering place for meals and conversation. The bespoke kitchen, with its distinctive finish, is fully equipped with Miele appliances including a double wine cabinet, offering both function and comfort in a beautifully appointed setting.

This outstanding property occupies an elevated, open position in the sought-after “Utsikten” area of Mosetertoppen, close to both the Skavlen and Mosetertoppen ski stadium. Directly from the doorstep, ski trails lead into the renowned cross-country network of Øyerfjellet — repeatedly voted among Norway’s finest.

The cabin is considered by many to have an almost perfect location—right in the middle of all the essential amenities, yet still offering a peaceful and secluded setting. The ski stadium (a short walk from the cabin) opened fairly recently and features, among other things, an excellent local grocery store, a sports shop, and the restaurant HEV. In the opposite direction (also just a short walk from the cabin via Mosætra), you’ll find Gondoltoppen, which offers Favn Restaurant, the Skavlen eatery, as well as Favn Café, ski rentals, bike rentals, a pump track, and more.

Hafjell and Kvitfjell together form Norway’s largest alpine ski destination, and Mosetertoppen sits at the summit hub, at the top of the Hafjell gondola.

The property enjoys magnificent, sweeping views across the Gudbrandsdalen valley and the surrounding mountain landscape — a place defined by peace, space, and crisp mountain air. The plot borders the illuminated access trail leading down to the alpine slopes and the cross-country trails into the mountains. In total, 600 km of superbly maintained cross-country trails are accessible from here. Hafjell Alpine Centre offers 30 pistes and 15 lifts, including the gondola serving an impressive 835-metre vertical drop.

The wider Øyerfjellet area provides approximately 250 km of prepared cross-country tracks, connecting Hornsjø, Nordseter, and Sjusjøen.

In summer, Hafjell is an excellent base for hiking and cycling, with beautiful trails into Øyerfjellet and onwards to Sjusjøen and Nordseter. Families are well served by Hunderfossen Adventure Park and Hafjell Bike Park. Lillehammer lies approximately 18 km away, while Øyer village is just 4 km, offering supermarkets, a sports shop, Vinmonopolet, restaurants, and local amenities.

It is easy and very quick to reach Hafjell by both car and train from Oslo and Oslo Airport Gardermoen. The drive from the airport to the cabin normally takes between 1.5 and 2 hours. The E6 motorway is currently being expanded into an even better and faster route.
Alternatively, you can also take the train, with stops at both Lillehammer and Hunderfossen Station in Øyer—located on the opposite side of the valley at the base of the Hafjell Alpine Resort. From the station in Øyer, Hafjell also currently operates the Hafjell Bus during the winter season, transporting skiing enthusiasts between the train station and various locations throughout the ski resort—including Mosetertoppen!
