This villa was built in 1904 on behalf of the Viennese accountant and travel writer Leopold Reichenwallner as an apartment house and guesthouse on a beautiful hill at the edge of Oberdrauburg. It became a meeting place for notable alpine enthusiasts, mountaineers, and artists such as Albin Egger-Lienz and Herbert von Karajan.

The building consists of a three-story main house facing south and a two-story annex. The 14 apartments with a total of 17 rooms are partly equipped with loggias and balconies.
