Muro is a quiet inland municipality in the north of Mallorca, sitting between the Serra de Tramuntana foothills and the flat agricultural plain of Es Pla. Palma de Mallorca is roughly 50 kilometres south of Muro, reachable by car in under an hour via the Ma-13 motorway. Palma Son Sant Joan International Airport handles direct routes to most major European cities, with journey times from Muro of approximately 45 to 55 minutes by car. There is no direct rail connection, making a car essential for daily life in this part of the island.
