Just minutes from the center of Pau, in the heart of a park spanning over two hectares, Lescloupé is one of the most iconic historic properties in Béarn. This remarkable 16th-century Béarnaise building is much more than an event venue. According to the history passed down by its owners, the same family has been established on the site since 1160, making this place a privileged witness to nearly nine centuries of local history.
Over the generations, Lescloupé has become a key player in the life of Pau and Béarn. Once an inn frequented in the early 20th century by aviation pioneers such as the Wright brothers and Louis Blériot, the estate later made its mark on French event history by becoming one of the first venues to develop the rental of reception halls as we know it today.
Since 1971, the estate has hosted weddings, seminars, private receptions, cultural events, and corporate functions. Many political figures, ministerial representatives, industrialists, and major players in the aviation world have been welcomed here. The site notably hosted meetings related to Airbus and the international aerospace industry, large-scale scientific gatherings, as well as events that shaped the economic and industrial history of the region.
The property now offers nearly 870 m² of space divided between reception areas, technical rooms, and living quarters. The various rooms can accommodate up to 330 seated guests in an authentic setting featuring exposed stone, traditional timber framing, and exceptional volumes.
Outside, the wooded park of approximately 19,000 m² provides a privileged environment, ideal for hosting prestigious events or developing a hotel, tourism, cultural, or entrepreneurial project. Numerous outbuildings, garages, workshops, usable attics, and additional spaces complete the estate, offering rare potential for new activities.
Today, Lescloupé represents a unique opportunity to acquire not only an exceptional estate but also a piece of Béarn’s historical and cultural heritage.
