Con la caduta della Repubblica di Siena nel 1559 (firma del trattato di Cateau-Cambrésis) la fattoria, insieme a un’ampia selezione di terreni circostanti, fu messa all’asta e poi acquistata da una nobile famiglia senese. L’edificio fu ampliato negli anni successivi, con gli ultimi lavori completati intorno al 1760 (data questa data è scolpita su una delle pareti di sostegno).
Durante il restauro si scoprì che nel Rinascimento, dove oggi si trova l’annesso, c’era una fornace per mattoni. Durante gli scavi per il garage sotterraneo, gli operai hanno scoperto molti mattoni originali che, una volta puliti, sono stati utilizzati per pavimentare l’area esterna della proprietà.
Gli edifici sono oggi tipici casali rustici toscani, con pareti portanti in pietra e muratura e sono ancora visibili tutte le caratteristiche peculiari, tra cui travi in legno, pavimenti in cotto, mattoni in legno naturale e persino una meridiana unica sulla parete sud della guest house.
