It’s about a seafront villa, placed in a paradisiacal location, in front of the sea, behind the mountains. You can swim in the huge (13.5m x 5.5m) infinity pool or rest on one of the terraces watching the colored flowers, the trees, butterflies on the 5000m2 site. Mochlos is an idyllic village with steep coast and mountains around with fantastic trails. Especially impressive is the view over the mountains to Mirabello Bay. Mochlos is not a village to stroll but to relax, to hike, to read – just to get away from all the stress. Mochlos is also a good starting point for trips to Agios Nikolaos in the west, Ierapetra in the south, Sitia in the east, all of them picture-book Greek cities with seaside promenades, idyllic tavernas, weekly markets and all about 35km away, very easy, fast to reach due to the very good roads. Mochlos also offers the possibility to practice some watersports like water-skiing, Jet-skiing, Banana-Boat, boat tours to the small islands around or to the coves. Richtis-Gorge: For hiking and nature enthusiasts this 5km gorge is warmly recommended. Even in the summertime there is a 20m high waterfall that invites to a refreshing bath. Not far away from the village Kavousi, 20km from the villa away you can see the oldest, very huge olive tree, probably 3,250 years old. Worth seeing are lots of villages but near to the villa you can find Lastros, a small village above Mochlos, at the National road 90/E75 in the middle of the way between the two roads that go down to Mochlos. It is a picturesque small mountain village with lots of flowers and flavors. The last leprosy colony developed in the old Venetian fortress. The ill people restored the buildings and lived there from 1903 until 1957. Today the uninhabited isle is one of the most important tourist attractions of the region. Situated in the furthermost northeast of the island, about 1 1⁄2 hours from Mochlos away. It is a typical, nice Cretan village, partly rebuilt village with small narrow streets and scenic places. The small church Panagia Kera is one of the most important churches in Crete. Especially the frescoes of the church are very famous. Kritsa is well known for its woven webbing. Nowhere in Crete is this handcraft so well-kept. On the way to Agios Nikolaos you can find the ruins of Gournia, one shouldn’t miss. Self-catering Villa for maximum 12 persons.
