La Quinta is one of the most established and sought-after residential enclaves within the Benahavis municipality, positioned in the foothills above the Costa del Sol with commanding views across the Mediterranean toward the African coastline. The area is defined by low-density development, mature landscaping, and a consistent standard of high-end architecture. Its elevation above the coast provides a cooler microclimate in summer while remaining within easy reach of the sea, which gives it a distinct advantage over lower-lying coastal addresses.

Puerto Banús and its marina restaurants, including Nobu and Cipriani, are approximately 15 minutes by car. Marbella’s Casco Antiguo, the Club de Golf La Quinta, and the Ikos Andalusia resort are all within a short drive. San Pedro de Alcántara offers a weekly market and everyday shopping. Benahavis village, known for its concentration of restaurants, is around ten minutes away.

Málaga Airport (AGP) is approximately 50 kilometres from La Quinta, typically a 45 to 55 minute drive via the AP-7 toll motorway, with direct connections to most major European cities and several long-haul routes. Gibraltar Airport is around 60 kilometres to the west and serves as a secondary option. Marbella itself has no rail connection, so a car is essential for daily life in this area, which is standard for the western Costa del Sol.
