Mas Caterina is a traditional farmhouse located in Madremanya, a picturesque municipality in the Gironés region, Girona, Catalonia. This place is characterized by its medieval charm and its natural environment, becoming a perfect refuge to enjoy the tranquility of the Catalan countryside, with the advantage of being just 15 minutes from Girona city and 20 minutes from the Costa Brava.

The farmhouse maintains traditional Catalan architecture and is a historic estate that includes a fortified defense tower dating back to 1700. This tower is an outstanding example of the defensive architecture of the time, possibly used for protection against invaders and surveillance of the region. Over time, it has been updated by different owners.

The main house, with approximately 600 square meters built, is complemented by several annexes and sits on a vast expanse of fourteen hectares of land. The farmhouse combines stone and wood elements that reflect the history and heritage of the region. It has been carefully restored to preserve its historic character while adding modern amenities.

The farmhouse is distributed over three floors. On the ground floor, upon entering, we find the distribution room that gives access to the different areas. Here are the service kitchen, the machinery and implement room, a large living room, a cellar, a guest toilet, the boiler room and the diesel tank. There is also a covered porch with a traditional well that channels water to an outside pond.

On the first floor, we find the entrance hall that connects with the rest of the rooms. Here are located the living room with Girona stone touches, a kitchen with fireplace and pantry, the master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, a double bedroom and an office with a fireplace.

The second floor has a spacious main living room with fireplace and access to a terrace with views of the property and the region. There is also a double room with a full bathroom, a second living room with fireplace and access to the garden, another double room with a living room and full bathroom, and a library dedicated to reading and studying.

The garden at the highest part of the property offers spectacular views of the surroundings and the town of Madremanya. Here you will find a saltwater pool and two covered porches with barbecue and fireplace, ideal for cookouts and social gatherings.

The property has two residential complexes (annexes) built in 1997, classified as apartments for rural tourism use. The first annex, located at the entrance of the property, consists of two apartments: one with a living room and fireplace, two double bedrooms, a bathroom with shower and a full kitchen; and another with a living room and fireplace, a double bedroom, bathroom with shower and small kitchen.
