Llucmajor is the largest municipality by land area in Mallorca, occupying a broad sweep of the island’s southern plain between Palma and the Cap Blanc coastline. The town itself retains a distinctly local character, with a traditional market square, stone architecture, and a pace of life that remains largely insulated from the tourist circuits of the north and east. The surrounding landscape is open and agricultural, with views toward the Serra de Tramuntana on clear days.

The weekly market on Sundays draws residents from across the municipality. The town centre has a working selection of cafés, bakeries, and restaurants along Carrer de la Constitució and the Plaça d’Espanya. The coastal development of s’Arenal is roughly 15 kilometres away, and Palma’s retail and dining offer is a 25-minute drive.

Palma de Mallorca Airport is approximately 20 kilometres from Llucmajor, making it one of the more airport-proximate municipalities on the island, with a drive of around 20 to 25 minutes depending on traffic. Palma city centre is reachable in under 30 minutes by car. The airport operates year-round international routes to most major European cities, with seasonal frequency increasing significantly between April and October.
