Casa, Lanildut

Open the shutters and see the sea.
A pink facade, granite frames, a slate roof. This family home overlooks the estuary, perfectly positioned to enjoy a landscape that changes with the tides.
On the ground floor, everything has been opened up. The living room and dining room share the light and sea view. In winter, you settle near the granite fireplace or the pellet stove. In summer, the kitchen opens onto the terrace, then the garden, which is flowering and enclosed.
Upstairs, the house becomes generous: six bedrooms, an office, a library, a bathroom, and an enclosed balcony. Hardwood floors run throughout. Every room faces either the sea or the garden. A shower room can still be created on the top floor.
Below the house, there are three cellars. Next door, an independent outbuilding currently serves as a storage room and office. It can accommodate a car... or a boat.
Because here, the sea is part of daily life.
The port, nestled in the estuary, is one of the best sheltered in the area. Side by side, you see sailboats and seaweed harvesters unloading algae collected in the Iroise Sea. It is the largest seaweed harvesting port in Europe, labeled ”Port of Heritage Interest” in 2014. The Rumorvan district preserves the houses of former merchant captains.
Ouessant and Molène are within easy reach by rigid inflatable boat for day trips, or by ferry connections from May to September. Brest is 25 km away.
A home to live in, to pass on, to tell stories about.
