Grimaud occupies a privileged position in the Var, set between the Massif des Maures and the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. The medieval hilltop village, with its Romanesque church and ruined château, anchors a commune that extends down to the waterfront at Port Grimaud, the canal-laced marina village designed by François Spoerry in the 1960s. The combination of inland Provençal character and direct access to one of the most sought-after stretches of the French Riviera gives Grimaud a dual identity found nowhere else on this coastline.

Port Grimaud’s waterfront restaurants and weekly market are a short drive from the upper village. Saint-Tropez is approximately 10 kilometres away by road, or reachable by boat from Port Grimaud. Grimaud village itself has a weekly market, local boulangeries, and the well-regarded restaurant La Bretonnière.

The nearest major transport hub is Toulon-Hyères Airport, roughly 60 kilometres west, with domestic and European connections. Nice Côte d’Azur International Airport is approximately 100 kilometres east, around 90 minutes by car, and serves a wide range of intercontinental routes. The TGV station at Les Arcs-Draguignan, about 25 kilometres north, connects to Paris in under four hours and provides access to the broader French rail network.
