Grimaud occupies a privileged position in the Var, set back from the Gulf of Saint-Tropez on a hillside that rises above the coastal plain. The medieval village at its core, with its restored castle ruins and Romanesque church, gives the commune a depth of character that the coastal resorts nearby lack.
