Grimaud occupies a privileged position in the Var, set between the Massif des Maures and the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. The medieval hilltop village, with its Romanesque church and ruined castle, gives the commune a distinct identity that separates it from the more commercialised resorts along the coast. The lower part of the commune extends toward the water, where pine-covered hillsides slope down to the Gulf, offering some of the most sought-after residential addresses on the French Riviera.

Port Grimaud, the car-free waterfront village designed by François Spoerry, is a short drive away and offers daily markets, waterside restaurants, and direct boat access to Saint-Tropez. The A8 motorway is accessible via Le Muy, connecting the area to Aix-en-Provence, Marseille, and the broader French autoroute network.
