Mimet is a medieval hilltop village in the Bouches-du-Rhône, sitting at roughly 650 metres elevation on the northern flank of the Étoile massif. It is consistently ranked among the most beautiful villages in Provence, with a tightly preserved historic core of stone houses, narrow lanes, and a central square shaded by plane trees. The surrounding landscape is protected garrigue and pine forest, giving the village a degree of natural isolation that is increasingly rare this close to Marseille and Aix-en-Provence.
