Terra DI Galilea

Galilea is a small mountain village in the Serra de Tramuntana foothills, sitting at around 500 metres above sea level within the municipality of Puigpunyent. The village is defined by its stone architecture, narrow lanes, and the landmark church of Sant Pere, which anchors the central square. The surrounding landscape is protected as part of the Serra de Tramuntana, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the views across terraced hillsides toward the coast are a constant presence in daily life here.

The village has a handful of local bars and a small restaurant on the main square. Puigpunyent, five minutes by car, covers basic provisions. Palma is approximately 25 kilometres away and reachable in under 30 minutes, giving access to the full range of the city’s restaurants, markets, and cultural institutions. The coastal resort of Santa Ponsa is around 20 kilometres to the south.

Palma de Mallorca Airport is approximately 35 kilometres from Galilea, typically a 35 to 40 minute drive via the Ma-1040 and the motorway. The airport operates year-round international routes to major European cities, with significantly expanded connections during the summer season. There is no rail connection to this part of the island, so a car is essential for living here. Palma itself is the island’s commercial and cultural hub and is the primary reference point for all services.
