Felanitx is a relaxed rural town with romantic golden stone buildings, squares and the imposing church of San Miguel. It is surrounded by history with buildings such as Castell de Santueri, the monestary of San Salvador and the imposing. It is now the centre of Mallorca’s second largest wine region. Felanitx has good every day shopping facilities plus many local products such as wine and pottery. There is a regular Sunday market, plus permanent stalls which sell flowers and fresh produce. Hiking and biking is a great way to take in the local countryside where you can find peace and quiet and the best views to fill your soul. It is also not far from the sea with major beach resorts such as Portocolom and Cala D’or and there is a pretty little cove called ‘Sa Nau’ which snakes inland from the coast and offers fine white sand and crystal clear waters.
