Fayence is a medieval hilltop village in the Var department of Provence, sitting at around 350 metres above sea level in the Pays de Fayence, a cluster of perched villages between the Esterel massif and the pre-Alps. The old town retains its original Provençal character: narrow stone lanes, a Romanesque church, and panoramic views south toward the coast. It is widely regarded as one of the most architecturally intact villages in inland Var, drawing a discreet international residential community.

Daily life centres on the weekly market in the village square, the restaurants along Rue du Château, and the local producers selling olive oil and honey from the surrounding hills. Tourrettes, Seillans, and Callian are each within ten minutes by car. The Terre Blanche Hotel Spa Golf Resort, with its two championship golf courses and spa, is immediately adjacent.

Fayence is approximately 35 kilometres north of Cannes and 40 kilometres from Nice Côte d’Azur International Airport, reachable in around 45 to 55 minutes by car depending on traffic. The A8 motorway is accessible via Fréjus or Cannes, connecting to Aix-en-Provence and the broader French autoroute network. Cannes and Nice both offer TGV rail connections to Paris in roughly five and a half hours.
