Casa A Schiera DI Costitx

Costitx is a small agricultural village in the geographic heart of Mallorca, sitting on the plain known as Es Pla at roughly 200 metres above sea level. It is one of the quietest and least commercialised municipalities on the island, with a population of around 1,000 residents and a character defined by stone farmhouses, almond groves, and the unhurried pace of rural Mallorcan life. The village is perhaps best known locally for the Museu de Ciències Naturals de Mallorca, which houses a significant prehistoric fauna collection.

Day-to-day essentials are covered within the village itself, including a small supermarket and the parish church of Sant Bartomeu as a social anchor. Sineu, one of the most important market towns in the interior with its renowned Wednesday market, is approximately 10 kilometres away. Inca, the main commercial hub of the island’s interior, is around 15 kilometres distant and offers a full range of retail, dining, and services.

Palma de Mallorca is approximately 30 kilometres from Costitx, reachable by car in around 30 to 35 minutes via the Ma-13 motorway through Inca. Palma Airport, one of the busiest airports in Spain handling direct routes to most major European cities, is roughly 40 kilometres away and accessible in under 45 minutes by car. There is no direct rail connection from Costitx, making a car essential for daily life in this location.
