In the summer, the population can even triple, making the main squares and the town’s busiest streets very crowded. The town, which is part of the Madonie Park, is included in the club of The Most Beautiful Villages of Italy. The town is overshadowed by a 270-meter hill with a distinctive head-shaped profile that drops sharply into the sea, while on the inner side, it opens onto the urban area, gradually sloping down into a grassy hillside. Cefalù has a picturesque little harbor from which you can see the characteristic seaside front of the walled town, with arches providing shelter for the boats. The climate, typically Mediterranean, features dry, warm summers softened by breezes, and mild, moderately rainy winters. Cefalù is a tourist spot of great interest to visitors.
