It is a tradition of old Mediterranean fishermen to seek ancient shelters protected from the southern winds. It is a tradition of old Mediterranean fishermen to seek ancient shelters protected from the southern winds. If we look closely at the map, we find a place that is like an island, with long arms nestled between the rocky coasts at the entrances. A whim of this coast, small Mediterranean fjords that extend inward to rest on a low shore. Relaxed. The house SA ILLA D’ADDAIA reminds us and celebrates the relaxed life of our coasts. Located on Castelldefels beach, with 206 m² of living space, it presents itself as unique and Mediterranean. Let’s see... Fishermen say there is no better moment than glimpsing the lights of their home from their llaüt boat. An idyllic moment is crossing our garden. Clearly bright, open at the bow, intimate by the mulberry tree at the back, where every secret stays among us and events become unforgettable with indirect lights under the moon. It is important to highlight this corner, a unique and social nook where everyone is invited to feel this very Mediterranean life that defines us. The garden is complemented by a closed garage and a pergola to park the car daily. It is said that a boat’s sail covers it in summer and transforms it into the sea. Let’s enter now. Light boldly enters through the huge glass windows of the living room. Imagine entering a place where the outside naturally blends with the inside. From the sofa, your view can focus on the light, a book, or the green of your garden—all at once. The dining room opens to the living room, the living room opens to the garden, all created to feel, all felt to relax, all relaxed to laugh and rest. We continue and pass through this very open space, open even to the kitchen. The Mahón pantry, Aló cookies, les Banyes, or a Fritel-la are dishes to taste, to delight in, to cook with garden views, with space for breakfast, with moments to remember. An unusual space where all guests will stay late to enjoy. The floor is complemented by a study with a bathroom. We go upstairs. Under my bed are shells, seaweed, sands; your place begins where my sheets end and the sea comes alive. Three bedrooms, one with a loft and terrace, all charming, three spacious, all three bright, and something indescribable that makes you feel as if you were at home. Two bathrooms offer rest, and the main terrace offers the stars of the sea. Stranded on the sand and inspired by its muse, the house SA ILLA D’ADDAIA transports us to the emotions and feelings of the sea, the fisherman, and his people; people of home.
