Cannes occupies a singular position on the French Riviera, a city whose international reputation rests on genuine substance: a protected bay framed by the Esterel massif to the west and the Lérins Islands offshore, a historic core on the hill of Le Suquet, and a boulevard de la Croisette that remains one of the most recognisable seafronts in the world. The Croix-des-Gardes district, set on the wooded hillside above the city, is one of Cannes’ most established residential addresses, known for its large Belle Époque and early twentieth-century villas, mature gardens, and elevated sea views.
