Cannes carries a weight that few cities on the Côte d’Azur can match. Known internationally for its film festival, its Croisette promenade, and its concentration of luxury hotels, the city has long attracted a discerning international clientele. The residential areas above the bay, particularly around the Cannes Eden enclave between Cannes proper and Golfe-Juan, offer elevated positions with direct Mediterranean views and a quieter residential character distinct from the bustle of the seafront.
