Casa A Schiera DI Calvià

Calvià is one of the few villages in Mallorca’s southwest that has retained a genuinely local character, largely because it sits inland from the coastal resort belt that defines much of the municipality sharing its name. The historic core is compact and walkable, anchored by the 13th-century church of Sant Joan Baptista and a central square that functions as the social heart of the community. The surrounding landscape of pine-covered hills and agricultural terraces gives the village a scale and quietness that coastal Mallorca rarely offers.

Daily life here revolves around the village square, the weekly market, and a handful of traditional restaurants serving Mallorcan cuisine. The coastal resorts of Santa Ponsa and Peguera are roughly ten minutes by car, providing beaches, supermarkets, and a wider dining offer. Palma is approximately 25 kilometres to the east.

Palma de Mallorca Airport is around 20 kilometres from Calvià village, typically a 25-minute drive, and operates year-round routes to most major European cities as well as connections to mainland Spain. The AP-1 motorway provides fast access to Palma, where the main ferry terminal links the island to Barcelona, Valencia, and other Balearic islands. There is no rail connection to Calvià itself, making a car essential for day-to-day use.
