Nestled in the heart of nature, this magnificent 19th-century stone mas enjoys a dominant position and offers breathtaking panoramic views. A privileged setting, perfect for enjoying peace and privacy.
Carefully renovated, the property has retained all its original charm. Exposed stone walls, wooden beams, and quality materials create a warm and inviting atmosphere where old-world character meets modern comfort.
The spacious and welcoming interior includes a large country-style living room, a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area, and five bedrooms — ideal for hosting family and friends in a peaceful and elegant environment.
The 10-hectares estate, mainly planted with century-old olive trees, offers a serene natural environment, perfect for recharging or engaging in activities such as olive harvesting.
A stone outbuilding in need of renovation completes the property and presents a great opportunity to create a guest house, a studio, or an independent space according to your needs. Callas is a medieval hilltop village in the Var department, sitting at roughly 500 metres elevation in the Provençal hinterland between the Gorges de Pennafort and the Plateau de Canjuers. The village retains its original stone architecture, narrow lanes, and a Romanesque church, and it has remained largely untouched by the commercial development that has altered parts of the coastal Var. The surrounding landscape is defined by oak and pine forest, olive groves, and open garrigue, with long views south toward the Esterel massif.
The market town of Fayence is approximately 10 kilometres away and provides the practical core of daily life: a weekly market, boulangeries, butchers, and restaurants including Le France and La Farigoulette. Draguignan, the prefecture of the Var, is around 20 kilometres north and offers a full range of commercial and administrative services. The villages of Seillans and Bargemon are within a short drive.
The A8 motorway is accessible via Fayence or Les Adrets, placing Cannes within roughly 45 minutes and Nice within one hour by car. Nice Côte d’Azur International Airport, the primary international hub for the region, is approximately 70 kilometres from Callas and reachable in around one hour under normal traffic conditions. Toulon-Hyères Airport offers an alternative for domestic and select European routes, at a comparable distance to the southwest.
