Palazzo Storico A Cabo De Peñas

This magnificent construction of impressive dimensions dates back to the 18th century and belonged to the high Asturian nobility. Originally, it was a luxurious two-story building, plus a central tower, in an L shape that housed the main residence, the chapel, and the stables; subsequently, annex buildings and agricultural dependencies have been added. Its main facade opens to a landscaped area with a lawn and large ornamental trees; the buildings, with a rectangular floor plan, feature architectural elements typical of Asturian rural architecture such as the portico supported by columns on the ground floor and the wooden gallery on the upper floor. The small chapel with a bell tower and a barrel vault in the interior ceiling retains the original wooden altarpiece that can be restored. Due to its great uniqueness, the Palace has been cataloged in the Heritage of historic Asturian buildings. Currently, the rehabilitated area is located in one of the wings of the building and houses several lounges, 10 bedrooms, a kitchen-dining room, and 2 bathrooms; it still maintains original construction elements such as the large access door to the first floor, studded with metal elements, which is accessed by a large stone staircase. The Palace is situated on a plot of 8,000 m² of extensive meadows just 8 km from the Asturian coast and its impressive cliffs and beaches.
