Brixen im Thale
As the oldest village, Brixen im Thale gave its name to the valley. Unlike many other Alpine valleys, the Brixental does not end in a dead end but is open on both sides, connecting the Inn Valley in the west with the Kitzbühel region in the east. Nestled in the gentle grassy mountains of the Kitzbühel Alps, this charming place lies in one of the most beautiful natural landscapes in Tyrol—only about a 10-minute drive from Kitzbühel.
Brixen im Thale impresses as an attractive living and residential area with very good infrastructure: daily necessities shops, kindergarten, school, and doctors are located directly in the village, ensuring short distances and high quality of life.
In summer, the recreational area offers a bathing lake, adventure swimming pool, beach volleyball courts, Kneipp facilities, tennis courts, and an idyllic fishing pond, providing diverse opportunities for relaxation. Numerous hiking and cycling trails in the surroundings make the Brixental a popular destination for nature and sports enthusiasts. Golfers will also find several high-quality golf courses nearby.
In winter, Brixen im Thale is a central access point to the ski world: thanks to modern connections, the area is directly linked to the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser - Brixental and the Kirchberg–Kitzbühel ski area, making it one of the largest connected ski regions in Europe.
Thus, the village offers year-round high living and leisure quality in one of Tyrol’s most desirable regions.
