Sant Lluís is a small, well-preserved municipality in the southeastern corner of Menorca, known for its whitewashed architecture and the orderly grid of its historic village centre, which reflects its 18th-century French colonial origins under the rule of the Duc de Richelieu. The surrounding countryside is characterised by dry-stone walls, ancient camí de cavalls coastal paths, and a series of intimate calas that remain far less commercialised than comparable spots on Mallorca or Ibiza.

The village itself has a weekly market, a handful of well-regarded restaurants including Es Molí de Foc, and easy access to the calas of Binibèquer, Binidalí, and Punta Prima, all within a five-minute drive. Mahón, the island capital, is approximately eight kilometres to the north.

Mahón Airport is roughly ten kilometres from Sant Lluís, a journey of around fifteen minutes by car, making it one of the most conveniently positioned municipalities on the island for international access. The airport operates direct flights to major European cities including London, Barcelona, Madrid, and Frankfurt, with the busiest connections running from spring through early autumn. The port of Mahón, one of the largest natural harbours in the Mediterranean, also provides ferry connections to Barcelona and Valencia.
