Benahavis is one of the most sought-after municipalities on the Costa del Sol, consistently ranking among the wealthiest in Spain by per capita income. Positioned in the foothills of the Sierra de las Nieves, it combines a protected natural landscape with proximity to Marbella’s established luxury infrastructure. The area is defined by its concentration of private golf resorts, gated communities, and high-specification residential developments that have attracted an international ownership base over several decades.

Daily life here revolves around the golf courses of La Quinta, Los Arqueros, and El Higueral, and the restaurant strip in Benahavis village, known locally for its concentration of quality dining. Marbella’s Puerto Banus marina, with its retail and restaurant offer, is approximately 15 minutes by car. Estepona is a similar distance in the opposite direction.

Malaga Airport is the primary international gateway, located approximately 50 kilometres from Benahavis and reachable in around 45 minutes by car. The airport operates direct routes to most major European cities and several long-haul destinations. Gibraltar Airport, roughly 60 kilometres to the west, provides an additional option for private aviation. The AP-7 motorway connects the area efficiently to both Malaga and Algeciras.
