Benahavís occupies a privileged position in the western Costa del Sol, set in the foothills of the Sierra de las Nieves with La Concha mountain as its defining backdrop. Known as the dining room of the Costa del Sol, this municipality has built a reputation for exclusivity, discretion, and some of the most sought-after residential addresses on the Iberian Peninsula. Its whitewashed village core, Andalusian architecture, and protected natural surroundings distinguish it sharply from the coastal strip below.

The village of Benahavís itself offers around two dozen restaurants along its main street, with El Portalón and Los Abanicos among the long-established names. Nueva Andalucía, San Pedro de Alcántara, and the Marbella Golden Mile are each within a ten to fifteen minute drive, covering supermarkets, international schools, golf clubs, and beach clubs.

Marbella is approximately 20 kilometres to the east, reachable in around 20 minutes by car. Málaga International Airport, the main hub for the region with direct connections to most major European cities and beyond, is roughly 65 kilometres away, typically a 45 to 55 minute drive depending on traffic. Gibraltar Airport, serving additional UK routes, is approximately 60 kilometres to the west.
