Palmanova sits on the southwest coast of Mallorca within the municipality of Calvia, occupying a position between the busier resort of Magaluf to the west and the more refined Santa Ponsa to the east. It has a settled, year-round residential community alongside its seasonal appeal, giving it a more grounded character than many comparable coastal enclaves on the island.

The beach at Palmanova is a short walk from most addresses in the area. Portals Nous, a few minutes by car, offers upscale dining and the Puerto Portals marina, home to restaurants including Flanigan. The commercial centre of Magaluf and the larger shopping options of Calvia town are both within a ten-minute drive.

Palma city centre is approximately 15 kilometres east, reachable in around 20 minutes by car via the Ma-1 motorway. Palma de Mallorca Airport lies roughly 12 kilometres away, a journey of under 20 minutes by road, with direct flights connecting to most major European cities and year-round services to Madrid and Barcelona. There is no direct rail connection to Palmanova, making a car the practical choice for daily movement around the southwest of the island.
