La Muse Casa DI Charme Nel Cuore DI Auray

Demeures Marines exclusively unveils ”La Muse”, an elegant and unsuspected house in the heart of Auray, in Saint-Goustan. Behind the discretion of an old street lies a place of great poetry, entirely reinvented around light and materials. Stone, lime, and wood meet in a soft palette, curves respond to ancient lines, and volumes rise in height. A sensitive renovation that gives the place a unique soul.
From the entrance, the house intrigues. A sculptural staircase gives movement and invites you to rise. As you ascend, the architecture reveals itself, supported by remarkable work on materials and perspectives.
On the first floor, the heart of the house is unveiled. The living room with stove and the open-plan kitchen, furnished and equipped, compose a warm living space, bathed in light. The beautiful ceiling height gives momentum to the volumes. The curves soften the lines and subtly envelop the space. Niches are drawn in the walls, the stone reveals itself in touches, and the lime plaster gently captures the light. As the hours pass, it moves and reveals all the nuances of this interior with natural tones.
In its extension, the suspended terrace offers an unexpected breath. Bordered by the presence of the old ramparts, it poetically blends the intimacy of the house with the history of Auray. One can have lunch in the sun, read a few pages...
On the second floor, the atmosphere becomes more intimate. Two suites each have their own shower room, one of which also benefits from a dressing room. A laundry room and storage complete this level.
Then comes the top floor. Under a magnificent exposed framework, two vaulted bedrooms unfold generous volumes. The old beams rhythm the space, the stone regains the softness of lime, and the beautiful heights give this floor an almost airy atmosphere. From one of the bedrooms, a glimpse towards the port of Saint-Goustan discreetly reminds of the privileged location of the house. A bathroom completes this level.
With four bedrooms, including two suites, ”La Muse” has the dimensions of a true family home while preserving the intimacy of each. Its verticality naturally draws different universes, connected by the same softness.
Outside, the courtyard against the old ramparts reveals a final facet of the place. The old stone meets the contemporary lines of the renovation, in a delicate dialogue between the eras.
For here, Auray is lived on foot. The Monday market, shops, and restaurants are just a few steps away, the alleys lead down to Saint-Goustan, its quays, and its half-timbered houses. A gentle and vibrant life, between the old town and the spirit of the port.
”La Muse” unfolds like a beautiful book, floor by floor. A curve, a material, a play of light, then a framework and, up there, a glimpse towards Saint-Goustan. A deeply soothing house, where beauty arises less from brilliance than from the precision of every detail.
