Antibes Port Vauban/Ultimo Piano

Antibes occupies a distinctive position on the Côte d’Azur, sitting between Cannes and Nice on a peninsula that has drawn residents of serious means for well over a century. The old town, enclosed by Vauban’s 17th-century ramparts, retains a working authenticity that many neighbouring resorts have lost. Port Vauban, one of the largest yacht harbours in Europe, defines the northern edge of the city and sets the tone: this is a place where maritime life and Mediterranean urbanism coexist at a high level.

The Marché Provençal on Cours Masséna operates six mornings a week and anchors daily life in the old town. Restaurants along Rue Sade and around Place Nationale cover everything from casual to serious dining. The Picasso Museum, housed in the Château Grimaldi, is a five-minute walk from the port. Beaches at La Gravette and the Juan-les-Pins shoreline are within easy reach by bicycle or on foot.

Antibes-Juan-les-Pins SNCF station connects directly to Nice in around 25 minutes and to Cannes in under 15 minutes by regional TER services. Nice Côte d’Azur International Airport is approximately 20 kilometres away, reachable in 20 to 30 minutes by car or via a combination of train and shuttle. The A8 motorway provides direct road access to Monaco, Marseille, and the Italian border.
