Ang028 Villa Progettata Da Un Architetto Con Vista Sul Mare A Portogalo, Angra Dos Reis

Set on the hills of the prestigious Portogalo gated community in Angra dos Reis, this remarkable architect-designed villa enjoys a privileged setting surrounded by tropical vegetation, with beautiful views over the sea and the islands of Brazil’s Costa Verde.

The property sits on an expansive 3,086 sqm plot and offers 774 sqm of built area. It was designed by Brazilian architect Roberto Gonçalves, whose professional career notably included collaborations with the offices of Oscar Niemeyer and Lúcio Costa.

The architecture emphasizes generous volumes, natural light and a constant connection with the surrounding landscape. Large openings extend the living areas toward the terraces, tropical gardens and sea, while the multi-level layout creates privacy between the different areas of the residence.

The main level features a spacious reception area with living and dining rooms, an open-plan kitchen, an office and the master suite with a walk-in closet. Laundry and service areas complete this floor.

The upper level accommodates three additional suites, all offering generous proportions and ample storage.

The lower level is dedicated to leisure and entertainment, with a large lounge, TV area, games room and a fifth en-suite bedroom. This floor opens directly onto the outdoor areas and swimming pool.

Outside, a large swimming pool and deck overlook the surrounding landscape, creating an ideal setting to enjoy Angra dos Reis’ tropical climate and views across the bay. Terraces and landscaped areas provide several private spaces for relaxing and entertaining.

The property also features solar water heating and parking for up to ten vehicles, including two covered spaces.

The Portogalo gated community provides a secure environment and a marina, a particularly attractive feature for owners wishing to explore the bay of Angra dos Reis and its many islands by boat.

A distinctive property combining architecture, generous spaces, nature and a nautical lifestyle in one of the most sought-after destinations on Brazil’s Costa Verde.
