Alcudia occupies the northern tip of Mallorca, where a narrow isthmus separates the Bay of Pollença from the Bay of Alcudia. The medieval walled town at its core, with intact 14th-century ramparts enclosing a grid of stone lanes and Gothic civic buildings, gives the municipality a historical weight rare even by Mallorcan standards. The surrounding landscape shifts between pine-covered headlands, wetland reserves, and some of the island’s most expansive beaches, creating a setting of considerable geographic variety.

Daily life centres on the old town market (Tuesday and Sunday), the restaurant terraces along Carrer dels Hostes, and the seafront promenade at Port d’Alcudia. The S’Albufera natural park is minutes away by bicycle. Pollença and its weekly Sunday market are a 15-minute drive. Palma is roughly 55 kilometres south.

Palma de Mallorca Airport is approximately 55 kilometres from Alcudia, reached in around 45 to 55 minutes by car via the Ma-13 motorway. The airport operates year-round international routes to major European cities, with significantly expanded frequency from spring through autumn. Regular bus services connect Alcudia to Palma and Pollença. The Port d’Alcudia ferry terminal offers seasonal crossings to Barcelona and Valencia, providing an alternative mainland connection.
