#rif:4938
Alaró is a quaint little town in the northern inland that has retained its original charm with narrow streets and traditional stone houses. Small shops, bars and restaurants invite you to linger.
This stately corner house is also located here. It offers the possibility of being transformed into a true jewel in Mallorcan style. The ground floor houses a spacious living room, a dining room, an office and a kitchen. Located on the first floor are seven bedrooms, one of which has its own bathroom, as well as another separate bathroom and a large living room with access to a terrace. The second floor offers an open floor plan. Old tiled floors, wooden beams and stone elements still exude the charm of times gone by.
Outside, you will find a garden with its own well. The building is protected and therefore may not be demolished. Modernisation of the interior is possible. #ref:4938
Alaró is a traditional Mallorcan town in the Raiguer region, set at the foot of the Serra de Tramuntana mountains in the island’s interior. Its historic centre is defined by narrow stone-paved streets, medieval architecture, and a pace of life that has changed little over generations. The town is anchored by its central square, the Plaça de la Vila, and the parish church of Sant Bartomeu, and it sits directly below the dramatic Castell d’Alaró, a ruined hilltop fortress with commanding views across the plain.
Daily life in Alaró centres on the Plaça de la Vila, where local cafés and small restaurants serve the resident community. The weekly market runs on Saturdays. The town has its own butchers, bakeries, and independent shops. Palma is approximately 30 kilometres to the south, reachable in under 30 minutes by car via the Ma-13 motorway.
Alaró is connected to Palma by the Ma-13 and by the historic Ferrocarril de Sóller rail network via Consell-Alaró station, with regular services into Palma. Palma de Mallorca Airport is approximately 35 kilometres away, around 35 to 40 minutes by car, and operates year-round international routes to major European cities, with significantly expanded connections during the summer season.
