Villa Clementina. It was the year 1930. It is said that during this time, two lovers, a priest and a nun, made their love known to everyone. To fulfill their dream of a life together, they abandoned their vows and soon after decided to build what would be their home. The chosen location for its construction was the high part of Airuno – which is still today the most panoramic point of the village – at the end of a small road bordering the woods. Without sparing any expense, they created a stately villa that, in its features, reflected their religious background: The loggia with a vaulted ceiling where the holy water font is still present. Bifora windows with semicircular arches framed by an additional ogival arch (one of these even has a twisted column, also known as a “Solomonic column”). Pointed arch windows. Entrance portal with a pediment and an overhanging gargoyle. Internally, the finishes chosen were of high quality with Venetian terrazzo, precious marbles, parquet, and wrought iron. Unfortunately, we do not know how this beautiful love story continued. What is certain is that, in almost 100 years of existence, the villa has been inhabited by several families who, with constant maintenance, have managed to preserve all the characteristics and materials of the era.
Today we are faced with what can truly be called a historic villa. A very particular note to mention: The garden on the North side features a long corridor with a pedestrian exit to the underlying Via Don G. Solaro; from here, in less than a minute on foot, you can reach the Airuno train station (Lecco-Milan line). The historic villa, fully independent, is currently composed as follows: Ground floor -1 – approximately 105 sqm. Eat-in kitchen and living room with access to the terrace overlooking the view. Boiler room and cellar. Ground floor – approximately 105 sqm. Entrance hallway, loggia, living room, bedroom, bathroom. Balcony. First floor – approximately 105 sqm. Two bedrooms, bathroom, veranda. Balcony. Second floor – approximately 105 sqm. Storage room and two attic rooms. Basement – approximately 30 sqm. Cellar / hobby room. Land lot of approximately 1,700 sqm. with parking spaces and double garage. Villa for sale at €450,000. Energy class – G IPE – kwh/m²a 468.62 The information provided does not constitute a contractual element and does not provide information for cadastral and urban planning purposes.
