Just metres from the pristine sands of Mahanga Beach, with fabulous ocean and bush views, this is a coastal escape made for long summer days, great surf and weekends with family and friends.
There is a real buzz to life here. Surf in the morning, head out fishing or spend the day on the beach, then come home, light the BBQ and gather everyone together. Funky, relaxed and made for entertaining, this bach has plenty of personality and space for a crowd.
Upstairs is where everyone naturally gathers, with open plan living and dining beneath raked ceilings, a modern kitchen with bespoke joinery and inviting window seat. Doors open onto the spacious north facing deck, capturing all day sun and the surrounding outlook. Two double bedrooms and a full bathroom complete this level.
Downstairs offers even more flexibility, with a second lounge and fireplace, combined kitchen and laundry, full bathroom with spa bath and space ideal for guests and extended family. There is also the bonus of a separate spacious studio with kitchenette, while an internal access garage, carport, wine cellar and workshop add further practicality.
Outside, the fire pit and BBQ area are perfect after a day on the water. Established fruit trees, raised vegetable beds, water tanks, solar hot water and fish filleting bench all add to the easy coastal lifestyle.
Mahanga is a special pocket of the Mahia Peninsula, renowned for its pristine beach, great surf, fishing, boating and water sports, with safe boat launching on both sides of the peninsula. Approximately two hours north of Napier and one hour south of Gisborne, it feels wonderfully removed from everyday life.
With the beach just metres from the doorstep and plenty of space to fill the bach with family and friends, this is a place to switch off and make the most of everything that makes summers at Mahanga so memorable.

The Hawke’s Bay has a thriving wine industry and is home to New Zealand’s oldest winery – Mission Estate Winery. The region prides itself on exceptional and award-winning wines with fine dining. It is also commonly seen to have some of the most beautiful properties throughout the region.
