Châteauneuf-Grasse sits on a limestone ridge in the Alpes-Maritimes hinterland, roughly twelve kilometres northwest of Grasse and about thirty kilometres from the coast. The medieval village retains its original fortified core, with narrow stone lanes, a Romanesque church, and views across the Loup valley toward the pre-Alps. This is the Provençal interior at its most coherent: agricultural land, olive groves, and dry-stone terracing that has defined the landscape for centuries, without the density or tourist pressure of the coastal strip.

The village itself has a weekly market and a handful of local restaurants. Valbonne, roughly eight kilometres to the southeast, offers a broader range of dining, including Le Bistrot de Valbonne and the covered market on Place des Arcades. Grasse, the historic centre of the French perfume industry, provides supermarkets, schools, and specialist shops within a fifteen-minute drive.

Grasse train station connects to Cannes in approximately thirty minutes, with onward TGV services from Cannes or Nice. Nice Côte d’Azur International Airport is around forty kilometres from Châteauneuf-Grasse, typically forty-five to fifty-five minutes by car depending on traffic. The A8 motorway is accessible via Mougins or Cannes, providing direct links to Monaco, Aix-en-Provence, and the Italian border.
