La Torre DI Chiunzi, Une Rareté Architecturale Médiévale De La Côte Amalfitaine

Immersed in a natural setting of extraordinary beauty and rich in historical charm, the Torre di Chiunzi, also known as Torre Orsini, represents an authentic architectural rarity from the 15th century. Built in 1454 by the noble Raimondo Del Balzo Orsini, Prince of Salerno and Duke of Amalfi, this defensive tower is part of the medieval Amalfitan and Aragonese military system.
Located in the municipality of Tramonti, the property enjoys a strategic and dominant position: the view encompasses the Gulf of Naples, Mount Vesuvius, and, on clear days, extends to the city of Naples. On the other side, the view opens onto the mountains of the Monti Lattari and partially onto the sea of the Amalfi Coast, with the picturesque village of Tramonti nestled in the surrounding greenery.

After conveniently parking, you enter the defensive complex by choosing one of the various accesses, and in the Amalfi Coast, there are few accommodation and tourist properties that can boast convenient vehicular access and dozens of parking spaces on a paved courtyard.
The first level, at parking height, consists of a circular hall that lends itself to multiple uses; the centerpiece of this environment is the scenic fireplace, ideal for socializing and having fun. Conveniently usable, there are large panoramic outdoor spaces overlooking the rock and the forest below.
The second level has access both from the outside via a scenic staircase surrounded by flowerbeds, and from the inside through a charming circular staircase with a suggestive wrought iron balustrade, spiraling from the first level up to the rooftop terrace. It offers a large multifunctional outdoor space, thus being excellently suited for numerous uses.
The further two upper levels house the rooms, two per floor, characterized by breathtaking views.
Most of the interior spaces are in exposed stone.
Finally, the very top level consists of a walkable and paved rooftop terrace, with an unforgettable panorama.

With the additional service rooms, the total covered area is about 300 square meters, while the large uncovered spaces, in direct connection with the interior environments, can accommodate numerous people. Completing this wonderful property are many green areas, partly garden and partly chestnut grove; the tall trees contribute to the magnificence of the place.
