Spéracèdes is a small hilltop village in the Alpes-Maritimes, sitting at around 550 metres elevation in the arrière-pays grassois, the inland hill country behind the Côte d’Azur. The village occupies a ridge between Cabris and Grasse, with unobstructed sightlines south toward the Lac de Saint-Cassien and, on clear days, the Mediterranean. The surrounding landscape is defined by scrubland, olive groves, and dry-stone terracing, giving the area a distinctly rural Provençal character that contrasts sharply with the coastal resorts below.
The neighbouring village of Cabris, five minutes by car, has a handful of restaurants and a weekly market. Grasse, the historic centre of the French perfume industry, is roughly ten minutes away and offers a full range of shops, markets, and services. Cannes is approximately 25 kilometres south, providing access to high-end retail, restaurants, and the Palais des Festivals.
Cannes-Mandelieu Airport is around 30 kilometres from Spéracèdes, handling private aviation and some scheduled services. Nice Côte d’Azur International Airport, the main regional hub with direct connections to major European and international destinations, is approximately 45 kilometres away, typically 50 to 60 minutes by car. The A8 motorway is accessible via Cannes or Grasse, connecting westward to Aix-en-Provence and eastward toward Monaco and the Italian border.
