Alcúdia occupies the northeastern tip of Mallorca, on a narrow isthmus between Pollença Bay to the west and Alcúdia Bay to the east. The old town, enclosed within 14th-century walls, is one of the best-preserved medieval quarters on the island, with Roman ruins at Pollentia sitting just outside the walls. The area carries a distinct sense of place that separates it from the resort-heavy south of the island, attracting buyers who want landscape and history alongside the Mediterranean.

Daily life centres on the old town market, held Tuesdays and Sundays, and the restaurants along Carrer dels Oms and the port area. Playa de Sant Pere and Playa de Sant Joan are within easy reach. Port d’Alcúdia offers a working marina with waterfront dining. The Cap de Formentor peninsula and the Serra de Tramuntana are both within a 30-minute drive.

Palma de Mallorca Airport is approximately 55 kilometres from Alcúdia, a journey of around 45 to 50 minutes by car via the Ma-13 motorway. Palma itself is reachable in under an hour. The airport operates year-round international routes to major European cities, with significantly expanded connections from April through October. There is no rail link to Alcúdia, so a car is essential for residents.
