Manacor is Mallorca’s second-largest city and the commercial and cultural capital of the island’s interior. Set among almond groves and limestone hills in the east of the island, it has a distinct identity shaped by centuries of craft tradition, particularly in furniture-making and the cultured pearl industry, for which it remains internationally known. Porto Cristo and Porto Colom, both with marinas and beaches, are roughly 20 minutes by car. The Caves of Drach near Porto Cristo are a major regional landmark. Several of Mallorca’s most respected wineries operate in this part of the island.

Palma de Mallorca is approximately 60 kilometres to the west, reachable in under an hour by car via the Ma-15. Palma Airport, the island’s main international hub, handles direct flights to most major European cities and operates year-round connections to Madrid and Barcelona. The eastern coast’s road network is well maintained, making the broader municipality practical for daily use while remaining well removed from the tourist density of the southwest.
