Asteri Villa is positioned within the protected Kechria area on the northern coast of Skiathos, just 100 metres from the shoreline and surrounded by a landscape of olive groves and pine-covered hillsides. Set above Ligaries Beach, the property enjoys uninterrupted views across the Aegean towards the distant outline of the Pelion Peninsula, while maintaining a notable sense of privacy within one of the island’s quieter coastal settings.

The architecture follows the natural contours of the site, using low horizontal forms and broad overhangs that allow the house to sit comfortably within the landscape. White-rendered volumes and extensive glazing create a restrained architectural language that emphasises openness and light, while ensuring that the sea remains present from almost every principal space. From the approach, the residence appears partially embedded within the hillside before gradually opening towards the water.

The principal living areas are arranged as a continuous open-plan environment, where interior and exterior spaces are closely connected through large glazed openings. Natural light moves freely through the house throughout the day, while the orientation captures sea breezes from the north. A calm palette of pale stone, timber and neutral finishes reinforces the simplicity of the architecture, allowing proportion, light and views to define the atmosphere of the interiors.

The accommodation comprises four en-suite bedrooms positioned to maximise both privacy and connection to the surrounding landscape. Each room maintains a direct relationship with either the sea or the mature olive grove, creating a consistent sense of tranquillity throughout the private areas of the house. As the day progresses, the changing light across the Aegean becomes an integral part of the experience of the property.

The wider setting contributes significantly to the character of the residence. Ligaries Beach lies moments away, while nearby Kechria Beach provides an alternative coastal landscape where dense vegetation reaches close to the water’s edge. Despite the peaceful atmosphere, Skiathos Town, the harbour and the island’s amenities remain easily accessible.
