The Casco Antiguo is the historic core of Seville, one of the most architecturally intact medieval city centres in southern Europe. Its streets layer Roman foundations, Moorish palaces, Gothic cathedrals, and Baroque churches into a continuous urban fabric that has earned UNESCO World Heritage recognition for its key monuments. Seville Airport, located roughly ten kilometres northeast of the centre, operates direct flights to major European hubs including London, Paris, Frankfurt, and Amsterdam, with journey times to the city centre of around twenty minutes by taxi.
