Ronda is one of the most architecturally and historically significant cities in Andalusia, set on a dramatic plateau divided by the El Tajo gorge in the Serranía de Ronda mountains. The old town, or casco histórico, retains its Moorish street plan and is anchored by landmarks including the 18th-century Puente Nuevo, the Plaza de Toros (one of the oldest bullrings in Spain), and the Arab Baths.
