Maison De Ville Saugerties

Whispering Winds - 22 Acres of History and Harmony

Perfect for those seeking privacy, inspiration, and connection to the land, this remarkable 22.1-acre property offers quiet beauty and deep history. A spring-fed 2.2-acre pond, woodland trails, and the peaceful songs of nature create a timeless sense of serenity and retreat nestled between Woodstock and Saugerties. Once home to the Williams Music Camp, founded in 1929 by composer and bandleader Ernest Williams of the Ithaca Conservatory, the land was once alive with music-a thriving community of sound and spirit where aspiring musicians from around the world gathered each summer to study, perform, and create. Though the camp’s halls are long gone, its melody lingers in the landscape-in the rhythm of rustling leaves, the chorus of birds at dawn, and the mirrored stillness of the pond. Nature has reclaimed the stage, and the harmony endures in gentler form: a rare balance of space, history, and beauty. A place of both heritage and possibility, the land invites new imagination-whether as a private retreat, an artist’s haven, or a return to its musical roots.? Here, the song continues.
