Pendant la guerre péninsulaire ou les invasions françaises, le général Wellesley, plus tard 1er duc de Wellington, a passé la nuit au manoir avant la bataille de Buçaco.
Cette fantastique propriété est située à proximité de Santa Comba Dão, dans le quartier de Viseu.
Avec une superficie couverte de 1601 m2 et 336 378 m2 de terrain, Quinta da Guarita est composée de :
- Solaire avec 1354 m2 ;
